On this first post, we will try to show you a little bit about Brazil, its culture and regions.
Let’s start knowing about Brazil main data. Brazil is a South American country, the biggest one in area and population; just to have an idea of its size is the fifth in the world in area, with more than 200 million people.
Differently from the others in the region the language spoken on it is Portuguese, if you speak English, be prepared, not all the places have the infrastruture with signs and support in English, normally just turistics places or big cities will have it. A dictionary and preparation will help you to not be taken by suprised. Real (R$) is the name of the currency, the value today it’s around U$0.27 per R$1. Which is a very attractive rate for those who earn in U$-EUR.

As mentioned above, the country is huge, and being that big comes with a multicultural country. Each region has different aspects and customs. So we will bring a brief explanation of each of them. At least you will know what to find in each of them, and plan your trip accordingly.
When we talk about regions we normally use: North, Northeast, Southeast, Central and South. And we use states as a minor division of each region.

North region:
North region in Brazil is known worldwide by having the Amazonas. Amazonas is the biggest green forest in the world. Also, in this region are big rivers that cross the country. Don’t think that just because of the forest we have monkeys all around it; there are also big cities, like Manaus (capital of Amazônia state) which has many companies with production lines. Why that? Amazônia is a free zone in Brazil.
Now the most important, what to see there?

Northeast:
When we think about vacation, about resting, it always comes to our minds a relaxing beach to go!

Brazil's Northeast is full of it. Imagine a region with amazing beaches to enjoy and rest. The hot weather is like a "post card" most part of the year the temperature is above 22oC, the winter is when the rain comes to this dry region. It's also in this region where Salvador is, or, telling in a global language, where the street Carnivall is. Just to show a brief of breathtaking shots of this region. Southeast:
Although being formed by only 4 states, the Southeast region is the most populous one in Brazil. The region has reached around 84.4 million people in 2013, 20 million just on São Paulo metropolitan region. That being said, it's not difficult to image this region registers the highest demographic average in the country, around 91.3 habitants per squared kilometer. Why telling you these data? Just to give you an idea what kind of thing you can wait from it.
Briefly speaking about the Southeast’s main cities/places:
São Paulo - Image anything or any kind of place; we always say that if you don’t find it in São Paulo you won’t find in Brazil. São Paulo is a multicultural city with many attractions that a big city comes with. Minas Gerais – is that place with people so good you would think about living there. But, thinking about living there is a terror for those who care about weight. In this place you can find delicious food (one of the best in Brazil). Rio de Janeiro – for last but not least, Rio de Janeiro, the most famous city in Brazil. It’s not too much when we say its beauty is breathtaking. Anywhere you look you will see unique landscapes. It’s also famous for its Carnival, “Cristo Redentor” and Sugar Loaf. There are many places that we will dedicate special post just about them.

Central:
This region is certain the less known region for tourists. However, it shouldn’t be. Not just the capital of Brazil is found there (Brasilia) but also there are a lot of natural destines full of possibilities to experience great moments in this adventure.
Bonito (Mato Grosso do Sul) - full of crystal clear lakes, this city attracts tourists all over the world. In the middle of "Pantanal" there are lots of tours to be in contact with nature, animals, scuba diving and other activities. Chapada dos Guimarães (Mato Grosso) - ideal for adventures. Full of trails and waterfalls in the middle of caverns, you can also climb big walls.

South:
The South of the country is featured by europian cultural traits. Most of the immigrants arrived in the 18th century came to this region and nowadays we still have their heritage.
For brazilians the weather there is cold, some places have freezing periods in July-August.
There are many great cities to visit there Curitiba below, is one of them, also you can visit Canyons with a lovely green landscape and then finish your tour including some wineries in the region.
